Who we are
Emperium Power is a trading name of Emperium International Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15638524, with its registered office at 32 Weavers Way, London, NW1 0XE. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice.
For anything about your personal data, email us at hello@emperiumpower.com or write to our registered office.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our website, we collect the details you give us: your full name, company, work email address, phone number (if you provide it), business type, number of locations, town or city, and your message.
When you use the enquiry form, Cloudflare Turnstile also processes technical information about your browser and connection, such as your IP address and browser type, to check that the form is being used by a person and not an automated program.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to our website: which pages are viewed, which website referred the visit, and the type of device and browser. It does not use cookies or store anything on your device, and it does not track you across other websites. We see only totals, not individual visitors. We do not use advertising tools, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries. Where you are enquiring as a sole trader or individual, we process your details to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running and improving our website.
- To keep our website and form secure and free of spam. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in protecting our website and our inbox.
- To keep records where the law requires it, for example if your enquiry leads to a contract. Our lawful basis is compliance with our legal obligations.
We do not use your enquiry details to send marketing. If we would like to in future, we will only do so where the law allows and you will always be able to opt out.
You do not have to give us your details, but we cannot respond to an enquiry without a name and email address.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and handle enquiries, under contracts that require them to protect it:
- Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, security, visitor statistics (Web Analytics), the Turnstile spam check, and delivery of enquiry emails to our inbox.
- Our email provider: stores the enquiry emails we receive and our replies.
We may also disclose personal data if the law requires it, or to professional advisers such as our accountants or lawyers.
International transfers
Our service providers may process personal data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or by the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved under UK law.
How long we keep it
Our website does not store your enquiry: it is sent straight to our inbox. We keep enquiry emails for up to 12 months after our last contact with you, then delete them. If your enquiry leads to a contract, we keep the related business records for six years after the contract ends, as required for tax and legal purposes.
How we protect it
Our website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). The enquiry form checks every submission on our server and is protected against automated abuse. Access to enquiry emails is limited to the people who need it to respond.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- ask us to restrict how we use your data;
- object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests; and
- ask us to transfer data you gave us to another organisation, where this applies.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We will respond within one month. There is normally no charge.
How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please complain to us first using the contact details above. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, keep you updated and tell you the outcome.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or by calling 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
Our website does not set cookies for analytics or advertising, and our visitor statistics do not use cookies or similar technologies. When you use the enquiry form, Cloudflare Turnstile runs a security check that is strictly necessary to protect the form from spam. Cloudflare explains how Turnstile handles data in its Turnstile privacy addendum.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. The Turnstile check only filters out automated spam.
